Elliott bows politely. "Sirs, I know that your time is valuable, so I will skip the speech I made to your colleague. I am looking for a spell to permanently improve different aspects of my body and mind. In return, I am offering the opportunity to collaborate with a friend of mine who served for over two and a half millenia as a librarian in the tower of Dorvelia and was trained by her personally in psionics."

The archmage stands up intrigued by your offer. "Something like that will certainly give you the opportunity to get the spell cast on you, but you will still need to pay for the use of our magic. And I would like to see proof that you can make this type of deal."

Elliott thinks for a moment. "I possess more than enough gold for your services, but my friend would not appreciate me giving out their name so you can scry on them. My friend is a powerful psion, so they can contact you telepathically and set up a meeting. I'm not aware of what is needed for my friend to do that, but I'm sure your name will be sufficient." Elliott tries to concentrate on the present conversation and refer to Layla in gender neutral pronouns so as to not betray her identity if someone was trying to read his mind.

The archmage walks out into the ring of the upper level and calls for the other wizards to come out of their rooms. "All right, here's the deal we will grant you the power you want..Once you bring us your friend and we have confirmation of your deal. Also I'll need to see the 134,000 gold that you plan to pay for our services with."

Elliott nods. "Then I'll return shortly." Elliott exits the tower and goes back to the guild hall. If Layla is there, he asks, "Hey, how would you feel if I hypothetically got you the opportunity to collaborate with the Arch-mage of the wizards guild and his inner circle?"

Layla stairs at you for a few seconds without responding, then she slowly opens her mouth and begins to speak. "I'll let it slide this time. Please refrain from using me as your personal bargaining tool." She stretches her hand out to you. "Shall we return to them in style?"

(In all technicality you can make a will save to avoid her reading your thoughts but the DC is 57)

Elliott is surprised and a little offended at her response.He thought he was doing a good thing. "I promised you any secret knowledge I come across, and I saw getting you an audience with these wizards as just that. There's no way out of all those wizards that none of them know something secret that you don't. You've built my hall for basically free, Layla, and I'm trying to repay you the best way I know how. So yeah. Let's go in style." He holds out his hand.

(Elliott considers her an equal and a friend after Zach's campaign ended. That's why she gets the whole hand now. He wouldn't try to hide anything from her. Carly maybe, because he still thinks he's better than her, but not Layla, and she would know that. Besides, the highest Will save he could do is 52.)

Layla gets a slight smile on her face. "Of course. My apologies." She teleports you back to the wizards tower top layer and all the wizards recoil when you arrive. "Hello gentleman, I hear you have asked to meet me. Well here I am, and my time is valuable so please stop wasting it." Some of the other wizards stand speechless but the archmage speaks up immediately. "I hear that you can get us into the library of Dorvelia, is this true?" Layla nods her head. "Of course I can, we will work out those arrangements after you complete my friends request. Now get to it!" She stands back and waits for them to get ready. "Aright pay us the gold promised and your spell will be cast."

Elliott starts counting out electrum coins. "Can the spell be cast multiple times to improve my body and mind just as much? I would be willing to pay more for more spells."

The wizards gather in a circle around you and prepare to cast the spell. "We assumed you wanted in cast on you 5 times. That's the maximum that it can be cast on one person, and that's what we charged you for. Now what part of you do you want improved?"

Elliott thinks quickly... Only 5. His offhand had been slow in the arena, but he needed a better brain for business. Which one more? "Two to make me faster, three to makee smarter."

They all simultaneously cast their spells and you more more agile and smarter. They are all breathing heavily and holding their heads afterwards. "Now then, the gold if you would."

Elliott finishes counting the coins and hands them to the arch-mage. "Pleasure, sir. We should do this again sometime. Say hello to Dorvelia for me if you see her. Layla, it's your show now. Tell me if you find anything good." Elliott means specifically in the wizards' minds, not the tower. He wants to make sure she benefits from this deal. He exits the tower and looks for an enchanter's shop.

(Do you know if Dorvelia stayed a bunch of different elans or if she was merged into 1 being on deification?)

Layla grins as you exit the tower, and several of the wizards look confused at you and her. An enchanter's shop sits just down the street from where the tower is located and is run by some of the lesser members. When you walk in three men stand behind the counter and greet you with hello's and welcomes.

Elliott walks in with a winner's smile. "Hi there, I'm looking to get my headband of Intellect +4 increased to +6 and enchanted with Charisma +6, My Ioun stone of insight +1 to +5, and my gloves of dexterity +2 to +6 and the ability to do True Strike at will. What would be the price on each enchantment?"

The shop keeper pulls out some paper and does some math. "The first enchantment is cost you 12,000 gold pieces. The second will cost 54,000. The ioun stone one will cost 120,000. The dexterity enchantment will cost you 28,000. And adding true strike to them will cost you an extra 3,000. All together that comes to a total of 217,000 gold." He turns around and looks around the room for the other wizards for had vanished into the back while he was working out the numbers. "But I'll make you a deal, I've seen you fighting in the arena and you were really good. And rumour has it that you plan to start a guild? I'll sell you this for 185,000 gold and remember us if anyone else ever needs any enchanting."

Elliott shakes the man's hand, hands over his items, and starts counting out coins. "Looks like you know me pretty well. It's true I'm starting a guild. Now that you mention it, I may be in need of another large enchanting order soon. When I start training recruits, I'm wanting to start them on wooden swords, but I want to give them a bit of extra incentive to block when they're sparring. Would it be possible to do a lightning enchantment that just sends a little bit of a zing through you without causing any lasting damage?"

The wizard pulls out his spell book and lays it down on the table in front of him and begins looking over some of the spells. "An interesting request. I just think we may be able to downgrade a lighting spell in order to do that. Come back when you have the swords and we'll see what we can do."

Elliott finishes counting and hands over the gold. "I'll certainly keep you gentlemen in mind." He waits until his items are finished being upgraded. When he receives them, he returns to the guild hall and greets everybody. If no one stops him for conversation, he drills forms for half an hour in the courtyard before reading his tome while munching on rations and eventually falling asleep.

You wake up the next morning to the sun shining in your face as you look around you see Carly meditating just a few feet away from you. Layla arrives just a few minutes after you wake up and shakes her head in disapproval of your sleeping arrangements. "So Elliott what is the plan for today?"

(I guess that was bad wording. He would have went up to the room and slept in a bedroll)

Elliott eats some rations. "Well, I suppose we pick up the fliers and post them around town. The furniture should start getting moved in today too. I hope they start with the torches. It's too dark in there. Maybe we can go hunting for trophies to decorate the main hall after we get fliers posted." Elliott gets up and stretches for a few minutes before strapping on his armor and going to the print shop. He picks up the fliers and posts them around Suzail wherever permitted. He makes sure to get one at each entrance to the arena and lets Carly and Layla take some around if they want. They meet back at the guild in a few hours. "So Carly, Layla, I want to get a few fliers in the other towns. I was thinking we could take the carpet and Carly could leap off if she saw anything she wanted to kill and have mounted. Sound good to you two?"

Layla takes out her carpet and lay's it down in front of you and Carly. "You two are certainly free to take it if you wish, but it will never hold the three of us. I can simply teleport to the towns you do not wish to go to."
