Elliott checks his opponent's heartbeat to make sure he's still alive. He lets the half-orcs carry him out. When he gets back he asks, "Hey, Layla, is that guy done with the guild hall yet?"

You collect 114,000 gold for your three victories. Carly follows you to check on the guild hall. When you arrive it appears to be complete. No one is playing the lyre and the lyre is in fact no longer sitting in the same place. Layla and the mistral sit by the front door to the guild hall.

Elliott sees the completed wall and the spire that contained the private quarters peeking over it. He gets really excited as his dream is suddenly real. He walks hurriedly up to the gate and through it glancing up at the adamantine portcullis spikes hanging above him. He looks around at the courtyard and envisions a line of training dummies, a rack of wooden weapons, the summoning stones lined up, the healing platform, and finally rows upon rows of men training swordsmanship under his leadership. It was finally here, and it had cost under 50,000 gold. After soaking it in for a few seconds he approaches the minstrel and holds out his hand to shake it. "Good work, kid. I couldn't have done it better myself. I am Elliott the Undying." After the minstrel give Elliott his name, he deactivates his instant fortress and stashes it in his pocket. "Shall we?" Elliott opens both doors to the hall and walks in. No tables and chairs yet, but it was still a big room. He walks through the armory with its bare walls imagining longswords and bastard swords hanging along them. He opens the first and second vaults knocking against the adamantine. It smelled different. He walks up the stairs and checks out the private chambers then through the kitchen to the barracks and then back to the main hall. "All we need now is the furniture and we can get started. The newest recruits won't be ready for live training for a couple weeks. We need to get the word out that we're ready to go. Thanks again, Layla and (minstrel's name). I'm so damn excited right now." Elliott goes in search of a printing press.

(his name is Josh, and since a cohort for Layla needs to be pretty high leveled I'm just going to say that he is a follower)

Near the outskirts of town a building is set up with a large metal sign over it that simply says. Printing press Inside there are several different races of people but mostly gnomes (not sure why but I associate gnomes with this) working diligently creating books and fixing broken machines. A strong looking man leaves his machine and walks up to you. "Hey there, how can I help ya?"

(It's WoW's fault. Gnomes were always the mechanics and engineers in that world.)

"Greetings! I need about 250 fliers printed for my new mercenary company." Elliott outlines what he wants printed by the guy including the picture of him, the phrase, "Invincibility lies in defense. Possibility of victory lies in attack. Become Undying today," the requirement that you have to at least be a brawler rank in the arena or be otherwise noteworthy, and the hall's location.

He, like always, tries to get the lowest price possible. +20 (24)

Elliott shakes the man's hand and pays out 300 gold and asks how soon they'll be done. He then stops by the construction company to let them know that the building was ready to be furnished and that the sewage portal to Baator was now impossible since the building was already constructed and that he would take the difference out of the second round of payment. Then he goes to a wizard's guild with a question. He asks the first person he sees, "Greetings! I have a rather complicated request for spellcasting services. Could you please direct me toward someone particularly knowledgeable on permanent self-improvement?"

The man tells you that the fliers should be done by tomorrow morning, the building comapny set out to start furnishing the guild hall, and it would be done is about 2 days. Finally once you reach the wizards tower they find interest in your request and many have heard of your exploits in the arena so they lead the way to one of the top wizards on the highest floor of the tower. He stands in blue robes and has a long white beard that slightly muffles his words. "Hello then, what do you need?"

Elliott gives a slight bow, "Greetings, master wizard. I stumbled on tomes that can improve the mind magically more so than an ordinary book if read thoroughly. I have a tome of leadership and influence here, and I know of two others. I was wondering if the same spell cast on the books could be cast directly on a person to improve the mind and body alike. I would be very interested in employing the services of one capable of such a spell."

(I don't know if you weren't aware or Layla was up to no good, but the wish spell can be used to grant inherent bonuses to attributes up to +5.)

(I wasn't aware, Layla would certainly have informed you of that. However a spell of this calibre would not be available easily)

The man seems peaked by your interest but hides it under a straight face.

Elliott cannot tell how interested the man is, so he pulls out a big gun thinking he has hit a brick wall. "I understand that your time and power are exceptionally rare commodities, but what if I were to offer you a much more rare opportunity? I have a personal friend in Suzail who was a librarian for the goddess Dorvelia for over two and a half thousand years. I'm sure my friend would be willing to have an intellectual collaboration and answer any questions or mysteries you have not yet found answers to as compensation for your services."

The man is very intrigued by your offer. "A Librarian for the goddess Dorvelia. I didn't even know that she had a librarian, and you say that their a friend of yours. Interesting indeed." He scratches his chin for a few seconds while staring at the ground in serious thought he can't let an opportunity like this escape him. "Very well, I will take you to see the Archmage myself. I will ask that you leave your weapons here at the door with one of our doormen." He gestures to the side where five wizards stand guard over named bags with people possessions in them. "I assure you that this standard procedure and that your items will not come to harm with those men guarding them."

Elliott nods his head. "Yes, Dorvelia has a 40 story tower filled with books of secret knowledge of the universe. My friend helped her manage those and also was tutored by her in psionics." Elliott is unsure about giving up his weapons. He roots around in his pocket and retrieves their scabbards, sheathes them, and puts them in his pocket. "I am inexpressibly uncomfortable with giving up my blades, you must understand. They are extremely valuable, and it will take me minutes to retrieve them from this bag of holding. So if I threaten you, you may blast me with whatever elements you choose in the time it takes me to retrieve them. Fair compromise?"

The wizard nods his head. yes that'll be a fair compromise, he takes you the center of the first floor where there is a circle drawn, and above the circle are holes leading up ten stories. The wizard steps into the circle and immediately begins floating upward toward the top floor.

When you reach the top floor there are five rooms placed in a circle around the lift. The wizard takes you into the door immediately in front of you when you come off the lift. On the inside of the room stands two more wizards wearing different robes then everyone else you had seen so far. The were pure white with golden trims and looked all fancy. One of them sat behind a desk while the other sat in front. The one behind the desk speaks up with an irritated look on his face. "Well speak up, you must have a good reason for interrupting us in the middle of an important conversation." The man in front of the desk turns around and looks at both of you. "And why is that armoured man up here. Only wizards are allowed on the top floor, you buffoon." The wizard that lead you up there gulps and bows before answering. "My apologies but this man has something of importance to ask of you and can offer something in return that I think you will be most interested in."
"Well out with it then, what is his request and what can he offer us?" The wizard stands up from his bow and glances at you. "I think it would be best if he told you himself."
