The paladin tries to bash his sword against yours and keep a steady grip on it, but you manage to strike it hard enough that it goes flying out of his hand. He quickly tries to grab it off the floor. Provoking an attack of opportunity.

Elliott's round:

If he successfully lands the Paladin prone, Elliott will kick the sword away, put his own swords on the Paladin's neck, and yell "Yield!" (essentially preparing strike of perfect clarity as a standard action triggered by him not yielding.)

If the Paladin stays on his feet and retrieves his sword, Elliott will activate Iron Heart Endurance to shake off some of the ringing in his ears, flourish his swords harmlessly, and try to re-disarm him.

After his strike lands, he activates his Iron Heart Endurance to shake off some of the ringing in his ears and shouts, "Paladin of Pelor! Humble yourself, yield this field, and retain your honor, or stain the name of your order with your pride and be struck down!" He flourishes and replaces his sword on the paladin's neck and prepares another strike of perfect clarity as a standard action triggered by him not yielding.

The Paladin being barely conscious gets up onto his elbows. He looks at you with anger. "Fine, you win brute." He gets up and starts collecting his sword and shield.

"Good choice, paladin." Elliott kneels and shoves his opponent back to the ground before he gets up. "Blind rage does not grant you power. Try reading those books of peace and goodness sometime. I have bested you in both strength and skill. You're not proving anything, and you have no place here doing battle for gold. If you're not healing somebody else, stay out of my arena." Elliott stands up, flourishes both swords, and reattaches them to his back. He waves to the crowd and blows a kiss to a hot girl in the front row. Then he exits the arena and starts reading his book, eating rations, and sipping his everfull honey water until his next match.

(it's hard trying to come up with character idea's that can challenge Elliott)

When you are called out for your next match a man in simple robes is already sitting in the middle of the arena and appears to be meditating. The crowd cheers as you enter into the arena and the opens his eyes and stairs at you. "Welcome my opponent, shall we have a good fight." He jumps up and begins stretching his arms and legs. "It looks like our competitors are ready to start the next match. Elliott the undying against Minos the impatient. Begin!"

(I know. I feel so bad for you having to roll out a gladiator like every other day and I'm sitting here pulling lizards off of an SRD and making Roxors Boxors for lulz. There's a Diamond Mind Stance that makes it so that every attack that misses me gives me a cumulative +2 dodge bonus to AC for the rest of the round against all opponents. If I ever use Elliott on tabletop again, he's going to have it, but I thought it would be too much to keep track of on the forum. So if you think Elliott's OP now, his AC could become 100+ with enough opponents swinging/shooting at him and missing.)

Elliott draws his swords and flourishes them for the crowd as he walks over. "After the last one, a good fight would be welcome, Minos. Shall we?"

(I was just thinking about buying a short sword in case someone grappled me.)

Elliott recognizes the reckless charge of a flying tackle and times his swing to hit as his opponent is in range to slice but not be grabbed.

(I know I just wrecked him into next week, but how was his grapple mod so high? I need ideas for Aeryn.)

Elliott assesses his opponent's style of fighting. He doesn't see any weapons. He could be a wrestling soulknife, monk, fighter, or warblade. He secretly hopes he's fighting a Stone Dragon warblade so he can prove his discipline's superiority. Impatient wouldn't describe a monk or soulknife, but perhaps a warblade or fighter.

After Elliott bats his opponent's hands away with his over-sized pommels, he activates time stands still to hit his opponent with a flurry of nonlethal blows.

Martial lore: +29 (49)
