She starts bleeding profusely as she walks back a few steps away from you. She coughs up some blood. "We'll be having none of that!" She casts a spell and fly's 50 feet into the air. "And Isabella has retreated to the air, how will Elliott handle this?"

The sword strikes her in the right side of her chest and she falls to the ground. She looks highly injured but still appears to be alive. "And that does it, Elliott has taken down a veteran Gladiator can anyone stop this man's winning streak!"

Elliott retrieves his sword and shakes the blood from it before attaching it to his back. He then carries Isabella out of the arena and sets her down. He then shouts, "I think this one's still alive if the medics can save her." He goes to the bench next to Layla and closes his eyes for about 15 seconds. He focuses his Iron Heart Endurance intensely and heals for 80 damage. Hos chest is still a bit sore, but he'd be fine by tonight. He pulls out his other dragon book and starts reading waiting for his next match. "Hey, Layla, can you recommend any books on Logic, Philosophy, or Social Engineering? I'm going to be done with this book soon."

(Specifically the tomes that increase ability scores for Int, Wis, or Cha.)

Layla thinks for a moment before turning to you. "yes, their are some tomes you could buy, however I will warn you that the tomes you're looking for a magical and once they have been read they become impossible to understand again. But the tomes you're looking for are those of: clear thought, understanding, and leadership and influence." One of the clerks comes up to Carly and she runs into the arena prepared to fight, you notice that most of the gladiators seem to be making a point in not coming to close to you.

Elliott immediately responds, "Leadership and influence! That one sounds like something I'd need for starting the guild. Go get 'em, Carly. Where would I get one of those? A library wouldn't have a book you could only read once, would it?"

Layla closes her eyes and thinks for a brief moment. "There are two magic shops in the town that are likely to have them. But they will be expensive." Carly comes back from her fight and holds out her hand. "Alright, if I'm running errands just give me the cash first." Layla brushes her hair back. "28,000 to 138,000 could be the average price depending on how powerful the magic is in the tome."

Elliott hands Carly 138,000 gold worth of electrum and platinum. "For the most powerful one they have. Try to see if they'll bring the price down at all. Check the oven before you go. I'd hate to burn the whole arena down while you're out buying milk and eggs."

Carly grins but doesn't say anything. She just walks away walks away with her grin and the money. After about 40 minutes you are approached by one of the clerks. "Elliott you're up, be careful I hear you're up against a tough one." Then he walks away with no more words.

Elliott wonders what Carly's up to. He reads the dragon book untill told he's up. Hedraws both swords and enters the arena cautiously.

As you enter the arena, a young looking man stands across from you with several different metal boxes and cubes attached to him. "So, you must be Elliott. I've heard that you've made quite the impression in these last two days. I'm sure you don't mind if I test you out my self." He takes two metal boxes off of his belt. "Both contenders have entered the arena. The Artificer Harry, against Elliott the undying! Let the fight BEGIN!" Harry drops the boxes on the ground and they become two medium sized golems.

Elliott had never encountered this before. He was under the impression that golems took months to make. Perhaps they were just condensed like the instant fortress. "Cut off the head of the snake, and the body shall die." Elliott swishes both swords and readies for battle.
