Draxor in the King's Forest

[Elliott the Undying]

On day 1, you guys make it about halfway to the bridge. When night falls, Aeryn looks at you uncomfortably and says, "Uh, I didn't buy a tent... or a sleeping bag. I thought this would be a day trip."
The kid looks at him in disbelief. "Wow. Undying and unprepared. Good thing dad let me borrow his tent." He takes a footlong length of cloth from his bag and unrolls it on the ground. He raises a hand over it and says, "Shelter us." When he speaks, it expands into a large 20'x20' tent and smoke begins to rise from a hole at the top. When he goes inside, there are 8 cots with a fire in the middle. "Well, I got the tent, you guys get to keep it safe."

Nothing interesting happens that night or the next day.

On Day 2, you make it over the bridge and set up camp again a few miles off the road toward the peninsula. Aeryn automatically assumes you take 1st watch since that was your routine at the shop. During your watch, roll Perception.

Draxor wouldn't bring either anyways, wanting to be able to wake at a moments notice On first watch Draxor guards the tent from outside, bout 30 meters away

[Elliott the Undying]

(Crap, it's a spot check. I've been playing Pathfinder for too long. Elliott doesn't spend much time talking about noticing things in the woods. However, he has likely demonstrated his remarkable ability to hear people's footsteps and locate them while blindfolded.)

Every few minutes, you can see a dark shape flying around just above the treetops over by the king's forest silhouetted against the starry sky. You keep an eye in that direction and just barely notice some shadows much closer that are moving toward your camp.

Draxor immediatly wakes up Aeryn, when he barely notice some shadows moving toward the camp Psst, Aeryn (if he doesn't wake up) Aeryn! Draxor whispers shaking Aeryn up, somethings coming. Draxor gets his sword out, and douses his blade in the mysterious liquid (Draxor would do this outside the tent, not wanting to destroy the Elf's property) the stranger gave us. ( Draxor uses a quarter to a half of the bottle) Then he would go out about 50 meters, looking for the creatures

(Let's make it an even half.)

Aeryn shakes his head sleepily. "The bad guys couldn't wait five more minutes?" He puts his armor on and follows you out of the tent. When you exit the tent roll a spot or listen check to locate the shadows. Also roll initiative. The thick liquid covers your blade and ignites a couple seconds later in a pale blue flame. On ignition, it hardens and doesn't drip. (+1d3 fire damage per hit for 2 minutes).

[Elliott the Undying]

When you exit the tent, you don't see the shadows as you approach where you last saw them on your turn. Neither you or Aeryn see them on your turns. However, as you're walking slowly you can suddenly see a shadow right as it swoops down from above. In a blur of what feels like loose skin with teeth flapping in your face and biting, you are bitten on the face and neck for 9 damage. You hear Aeryn say, "Oh, Heeeeells no!" before hearing an impact and a screech. The creature is momentarily knocked on the ground out of the dim light given off by your sword flames. You have enough time to strike as the shadow flies out of the darkness at you again.

(You can probably tell this isn't human, so no fighting style to analyze with Martial Lore.)

[Elliott the Undying]

Your sword goes through a flap of skin and tears through as the creature half flaps and half flops away into the darkness. In approximately 6 seconds, Aeryn rushes closer to you and says, "Woah. It got you good. That looks-GAAAH!" As a shadow flies from behind and flaps around his head but is unable to land a bite. Aeryn takes a stance up again and thrusts back with his sword hitting for 10 damage.

Draxor Prepares his sword, waiting for any signs of the assailents. "It hurts, but the training swords hurt worse. How did you fare?"

(He currently has another creature flapping around his face. The first one flap flopped away, and another one attacked Aeryn as he was checking up on you.)

Draxor waits for him to finish the creature, afraid that if he swung his sword, he might hit his comrade, if there is an opening Draxor would help Aeryn

[Elliott the Undying]

"Ha Ha! Missed me sucka!" Aeryn thrusts his sword at the creature again. His sword pierces it for 13 damage as it bites him in the neck for 12. It doesn't flap as much as it was before, but it hangs from his neck and writhes like it's trying to tear the flesh that's in it's mouth out of his neck.

Draxor tries to grab the creature on each end trying to subdue it, so Aeryn could get a clean hit on the creature
if Draxor gets it to stop struggling he says Go for the kill Aeryn!
